The comments on my previous article about the importance of girls learning and doing the ‘manly’ stuff and boys learning and practicing what the old paradigm would call ‘woman’s work’ so that none of us need be unduly dependent on another made me think of another story I want to share with you.
Rise and shine, today is the day….
We’re at the one digit countdown to my 35th birthday, so…….
You see, I have four jewels who are more precious to me than anything or anyone else in this world, except my husband. I am so very thankful for my being chosen to be their mother. I know I fail miserably in some moments, but I am always working on getting better. I am forever in awe of these 4 wonderful beings who have graced my life. They make me want to be better in so many ways, to challenge my old way of doing things and find better new solutions. They bring me so much joy, peace, sorrow and anguish, but most importantly they challenge me to grow upwards.
