I am so thankful for the people in my life with whom within sometimes moments of meeting each other I have had an instant connection with and forever after had a friend for life. Some of these friends I have not seen for years, or even talked to for years, but then we come together and it is as if time has stood still for we are so connected still. This connection exists with my husband obviously, and I have mentioned this with Amelia and Kyle, with whom Chuti and I have a beautiful friendship. There is a friend Chuck as well, who was actually my first boss after graduation and only boss when I played the part of an engineer. We met through email as he sent me an email about a job offer, having found me through the Engineering directory of recent graduates. I responded and we corresponded through email only and created an amazing connection. When we met, we hit it off amazingly well. He became my boss for a couple of years and since then we have developed an amazing friendship which is one of my most cherished. Now the friendship with Chuck has expanded to include Chuti and Julie (Chuck’s other half), which makes it even more special. Of course, there is Erica as well, who came into our lives to teach the kids Spanish and became a part of our family.
There are many others as well, because of whom I am so blessed. I will talk about them in another post. Today, I wanted to touch upon someone I haven’t mentioned yet, but who has commented on my blog. Angie and I met over 5 years ago when our two oldest were in a theater group for young people. We hit it off instantly, unfortunately shortly afterward she moved away. We’ve kept in touch on email sporadically, but always there was this underlying connection. I am excited to say that she is going to do a interview with me. I am excited for you because you get to know another very dynamic person and I am excited for me because I get to get to know her better through this. It is amazing to me that I can feel this connection with people I hardly know, but as in the case of Chuck, Erica and Amelia, the process of getting to know this cherished friend has only strengthened the connection. I feel that this connection comes from deep within me to deep within them. It is truly special. When I am with them, I feel more than myself, I feel on fire and I know I can just sit with these people and talk for days or sit in silence and just cherish their presence. It is an incredible experience. I would love to hear others’ perspectives on friendships of this nature.

I am the one who is happy with the blessing of you in my life. Living with you has been a relief for my life, a process of improvement and the step that let me stay not only here, but inside of me. God bless you every day!
It’s always nice to see that there are like-minded people out there working on personal best and it would a great privillege to be around friends like yourself.
